The progressive rock band has announced its return for a UK tour in late 2020. The last Genesis tour dates back to 2007.

Genesis, Phil Collins' progressive rock band, will reform for a UK tour in late 2020, the first in 13 years, the group announced on social media. "Genesis is delighted to announce that Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford will be touring the UK in late 2020!", The group announced on Twitter.

The trio forms the second period Genesis, after Peter Gabriel left the group in 1975. Phil Collins, on drums and vocals, Mike Rutherford on guitar and Tony Banks on keyboard, all three 69, meet at the occasion of this tour called The last domino? "He will be joined by Phil Collins' son, Nicholas, 18, on drums and Daryl Stuermer on guitar and bass.

130 million albums sold

With hits like I Can't Dance and That's All , Genesis was very successful in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, selling over 130 million albums.

Their last major European and North American tour dates back to 2007 and it was the first of the rock group for fifteen years. Tickets for this new tour will go on sale Friday. The group will perform in Liverpool, Newcastle and London in November, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow in December.
