Mathias Malzieu, leader of the French rock group Dionysos, returns with a new album Surprisier , and his film Une sirène à Paris , to be found on cinema screens from March 11. A new feature film adapted from his novel of the same name, published in 2019. It tells the story of a mermaid who fails in Paris thanks to the flood of the Seine and who meets a young man with a broken heart. Singer, writer, film director ... If Mathias Malzieu confesses to having a few ideas for a series, he will only reveal the pitch of one. But what a story! The director knew how to make our mouths water. He confides that his idea for a series is based on the story of his father, who lived with his grandmother who hid resistants. "When he was little, he crossed the line, hidden in a hay cart," he said.

Starting from this true and personal story, Mathias Malzieu had the idea of ​​entrusting to his main character, inspired by his own father, "a magic box which he is absolutely forbidden to open". A mysterious box that actually contains the heart of Jack, a character that Mathias Malzieu had written for his animated film Jack and the mechanics of the heart , co directed with Stéphane Berla and released in 2014.

"With this box, he will be able to stop time and change the course of history," continues the artist.
