In two different motions to the Constitutional Committee, moderate MPs Lars Beckman, Jan Ericson and Edward Reidl propose that sanctions be introduced as a way of strengthening the Review Committee for Radio and Television, in cases of precipitation. This would mean that SVT, UR and SR can be penalized if they have been sent to the Review Board, reports the Journalist.

The Swedish Democrats' David Lång and Robert Stenkvist also propose stricter sanctions "when serious violations of statutes and broadcasting permits occur," they write in a motion.

Lång and Stenkvist also propose that the members of the Review Board should consist of politicians from the parliamentary parties, in proportion to the parliamentary mandate, and be appointed by the parliament.

The motions are prepared in the Constitution Committee at the end of March.
