A company in Hanoi, Vietnam, has made toilet masks, taking advantage of the new Corona virus outbreak to make profits, official media reported Friday.

"This company is cheating consumers amid the outbreak of the new Corona virus," said Huang Dai Njehe, the market watchdog.

The inspectors found large quantities of toilet paper in a factory run by Fit Han, a group that is only licensed to produce napkins.

Sheets of antibacterial materials imported from China are usually used to make masks. However, with supplies declining due to the continued spread of the Corona virus, some exploiters have tended to use toilet paper. The Vietnamese authorities are looking into how to prosecute the company, and it is likely to impose a large fine.

News sources add that more than 140,000 anonymous masks have been discovered in the Vietnamese capital recently, many of which are made of toilet paper.

And 16 confirmed cases of the "Covid 19" virus in Vietnam, while global infections reached 64 thousand, and the death toll rose to 1383.

The name "Covid-19" is the name given by the Ministry of Health to the new Corona virus.
