About 3,000 Thai students gathered Friday in a schoolyard in Ayutthaya province to express their best wishes on Valentine's Day for China, which is fighting the epidemic of the Coronavirus.

"Oh China ... keep up the struggle" students and teachers of the Gerasat Weitaya chanted as they gathered and accompanied a pair of elephants to create a heart-shaped together.

"People in China now feel anxious and terrified, so the people of other countries should give them confidence to survive," said Liang Jie, a Chinese teacher at the school, from Xiamen, on the east China coast.

Thailand has reported 33 cases of coronavirus, but it has not recorded any deaths so far.

The National Health Commission of China announced in its latest statement that it had detected 121 new deaths and 5090 other cases of coronavirus on the Chinese mainland on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 63,851 cases.
