The Sultanate of Oman is preparing to launch an extraordinary session of the Muscat International Book Fair this February to keep pace with the silver jubilee of the exhibition and celebrate the country's 50th National Day.

Following a tradition followed by the exhibition for several years by choosing one of the regions of the Sultanate to highlight it, highlight its cultural heritage and customs, and introduce the most important creators, the Musandam Governorate was chosen as the "guest of honor" of the new session.

Musandam Governorate is located in the far north of the Amman Authority. It is a popular tourist destination. It includes four states, which are fertile, lavish, antique, and praise.

The Director General of the Directorate of Education in Musandam Governorate, and the head of the exhibition's activities committee, Saif bin Mubarak bin Saleh Al-Jalandani, said at a preparatory meeting that the organizing committee prepared a diversified program that includes intellectual seminars and poetry evenings, a photo exhibition and another of fine arts, in addition to a display of rare documents and manuscripts in the governorate.

The exhibition will be organized from February 22 to March 2 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center.

The exhibition had attracted more than a million visitors in its previous session, according to official statistics.
