It worked! Because I am like that, it is an original exhibition about the history and functionality of a hundred objects present in everyday life presented by Fernán Gómez Cultural Center of the Villa (Plaza de Colón, 4). A disposable razor, a calculator, a multipurpose razor, a drip oilcan, a cable cutter or a pair of flip flops are some examples that are part of the sample, belonging to the Pérez de Albéniz-Bergasa collection, and that include the explanation of how they have been conceived to be useful and, sometimes, essential in the daily lives of people. The exhibition, which also discovers the keys of the design of the objects and what objectives their creators and manufacturers pursued, consists of ten sections in which the pieces are grouped according to their main virtue: ability to lower prices (disposable lighter, clips, watches plastic ...), to innovate (flexible measuring tape, headband headphones or wireless mouse), to complement (a toilet brush, a corkscrew, a staple remover ...), to accelerate (disposable cutlery, the Polaroid camera ...), of multifunctioning (the multipurpose knife, the fork spoon or the cane with folding seat), of reducing (a folding umbrella), of facilitating (the shoehorn, the easy can ...), of adding (the pencil with rubber or the ladle with meter for spaghetti), to stylize (squeezers or perfume bottles) and to surprise (a transparent telephone, wooden cutlery or anti-stress gadgets). It is free and can be visited until March 1.
