Iowa is a medium-sized state around central USA. The population of 3.1 million people. Why choose Iowa? Yes, rather at random - like Phil Marmot in order to understand what the spring will be like. Well, from time immemorial (by me), they begin in Iowa. It hosts the first in the United States COCUS, that is, one-time (one day) meetings of Democrats and Republicans. Of course, separately.

There is no reasonable explanation for the Iowa phenomenon; the state will send only 41 deputies to the 4000th congress, where a candidate will be elected. The explanation is just the Phil Marmot phenomenon. And whoever does not believe in Phil, everyone believes. Because the victory in Iowa is considered crucial in the political life of the United States.

Among the Republican party members, Donald Trump finally, firmly and irrevocably defeated in Iowa. He received more than 97% of the vote in the fight for the Republican presidential candidate.

Trump is satisfied, the face is pink, the look is confident and arrogant.

The Democratic Party of Iowa was disastrous. The first to come was Professor Sanders, the “Communist," as even his Democratic comrades-in-arms call him. Biden came only fourth. Moreover, Biden, Sanders and a certain Buttigic consider themselves favorites for Democratic candidates. Therefore, a scandalous vote count has been assigned, which is a very, very bad start for the Democrats.

Seriously speaking, and this is the fear of the establishment of the Democratic Party, Bernie Sanders may become a candidate from the Democrats. He at one time did not reach the results of Hilary Clinton and did not get along in the political ring with Donald Trump four years ago.

"Communist" Sanders is unnerving American investors. Of course, Sanders is a "communist" only by American standards: he advocates tightening control over large corporations and increasing social spending, however ...

That will be the trick if the “communist” Sanders and filthy rich billionaire Trump clash with each other in the November presidential election.

The next lice test will take place in New Hampshire on February 11th. Very, very close to us date.

New Hampshire (you can do this and that: both New Hampshire and New Hampshire) is three times smaller than Iowa, with just 1.3 million people living in it. It is one of the oldest states in the USA.

Meanwhile, Democrats have not yet completed their calculations in Iowa. According to recent estimates, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders received 26.1% of the approval of party members and is inferior to the other candidate, a certain Pete Buttigic, who has 26.2%. A navy officer who has been the mayor of a small-sized city, and an openly gay man.

Judging by the polls, Bernie Sanders is still the most popular among democratic candidates. Let's see - the primaries (in some states they take the form of caucuses) have just begun.

What else? Signs of hostility between Democrats and Republicans did not stop. So, Nancy Pelosi tore up the text of Trump’s speech with the annual presidential address “On the Situation of the Country”, allegedly in revenge for the fact that he, having come to the place of announcement of the appeal, did not give her a hand.

She also tore it in public, sitting behind Trump, where she sat with Mike Pence (February 5 this year) against the backdrop of the American flag.

Bitchy, of course, is purely female revenge (this is my personal opinion).

And here is one more good news for Trump these days. But this is already out of focus, from another opera. In the final vote on impeachment, the Senate voted AGAINST its impeachment. 52 senators acquitted Trump (48 supported the charge) on one charge - abuse of power. And 53 justified (while 47 supported the accusation) on another - in obstructing the work of Congress. Everything is free! So Trump with a vengeance can devote himself to primaries.

Here it will be appropriate to recall that those who wanted to impeach Trump needed a vote of two-thirds of the Senate, that is, 67 senators, for impeachment.

Let me remind you that in the lower house of representatives of the Congress, headed by Nancy Pelosi, the impeachment vote took place on December 19, 2019 and Trump was found guilty by a majority vote.

Then the decision of the lower house with all honors was submitted to the Senate. But the Republican majority in the Senate! Under the US Constitution, the Senate is more important than the House of Representatives. And the Senate spoke for Trump.

Therefore, at the beginning of January 31 in the Senate, the Democrats' proposal to call witnesses to the Senate failed.

And the Democrats had hoped so much for the testimony of Trump's former national security adviser, John Bolton. It was believed that Bolton would expose Trump, judging by excerpts from his book about his service in the White House.

Now the Senate has put an end to the impeachment case. (I gave you the results above, the Senate refused to impeach Trump. And Bolton, with his testimony, was dismissed, even when they refused to call witnesses.)

There is no sadder story in the world than a tale of impeachment in the Senate ...
