Mendez is loading ahead of the Melodifestival's second competition in Gothenburg. And for the first time he is not alone on stage - along with singer Alvaro Estrella, also he with roots in Chile, he will perform the song Vamos Amigos.

- You can't stand still. That's what I always try to do with my songs, and now it's even more explosive. Vamos Amigos is about hope, says Mendez.

Seven on stage

Alvaro Estrella is expecting her first child with one of the grant's four dancers. Now, Alvaro and Mendez are wondering if, like Thorsten Flinck, they will be washed.

- Wonder how it works, now we are really seven but you can only be six people on stage. What should they do then ?, Mendez wonders.

According to Eurovision's rules, the maximum number of participants in a grant is six people.

Red handkerchiefs

In the number, Mendez, Alvaro Estrella and the dancers dance with red handkerchiefs - something that the audience values interpreted as a flirt with the gay world's handkerchief codes. However, the artists' press officer believes that there is no statement.
