The Nepalese police announced today that the bodies of eight Indian tourists were found in their hotel room on the outskirts of the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu.

Pikash Tamang, a local police official, said the tourists were among a group of 15 people who spent the night in the Everest Panorama resort in Ballong, 50 km west of Kathmandu.
"The doors and windows of their sink were closed. It seems they had turned the heater to warm themselves," Tamang added.

He pointed out that the bodies will be dissected, will lead to determining the cause of death. Two Chinese tourists and two Italians were found dead in two separate incidents in Nepal in 2013.

It is noteworthy that several people die during the winter in Kathmandu due to poisoning by inhaling carbon monoxide, which is due to the lack of ventilation and oxygen, according to doctor Buda Basniyat, who writes in the "Nepal Times".
