The journalists' protest follows in the suites of the crisis of confidence that has erupted in the country as a result of the Iranian government's initial attempt to deny that the Ukrainian passenger plane was accidentally shot down by the Iranian military.

“Thank you for accepting me as a news anchor until now. I will never work with television again, please forgive me, ”Zahra Khatami, according to The Guardian, announced when she left her position at the state broadcaster. The program manager Saba Rad also left the TV company and writes that she will never work with television again.

Another journalist and host, Gelare Jabbari, apologizes to the Instagram audience and writes that she "told lies for 13 years," the magazine writes.

Demonstrations in several cities

In several Iranian cities, demonstrations are currently underway against the government's actions following the shooting down of the Ukrainian plane. At the same time, Iran denies that they would have darkened the shooting.
