The Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs urged French nationals in several Middle East countries, particularly in Iraq, to be "careful" this Friday, "following recent events" in that country and " rising tensions in the region ”.
"The context of rising tensions in the region and recent developments require us to exercise the utmost caution when traveling to or from Iraq," the ministry said on its website. It makes similar recommendations to French people "residing or passing through Saudi Arabia" or in Israel / occupied territories.
