The Royal Film Commission - Jordan asked the American network "Netflix" not to broadcast the series "The Miracle Man" in Jordan.

The Director General of the Royal Film Commission, Muhannad Al-Bakri, said in a meeting with representatives of the media yesterday, “After reviewing some of the episodes of the TV series (The Miracle Man), which is scheduled to be broadcast on Netflix soon, we officially asked the network administration not to broadcast the series in Jordan".

Although the series was partly filmed in the Kingdom in 2018, and its story is purely fictional, "the commission considered that the content of the series can be seen or interpreted as incompatible with the sanctity of religions, and thus may violate the laws in the country."

"The commission continues to adhere firmly to its principles, especially respecting creative freedom, but as a responsible public institution, it neither endorses nor condones messages that may be in violation of the laws of the kingdom," the authority said in a statement.
