American astronaut Christina Koch has successfully broken the record for the longest time a woman has ever spent in outer space.
And the US space agency (NASA) said that Christina, who arrived at the International Space Station on March 15, has spent 289 days in space.
With this, Christina surpassed the record set so far recorded by former astronaut Peggy Watson, who spent 288 continuous days in space.
A hut is scheduled to return to Earth next February, at which time she will have spent 328 days in space.
Outer space astronaut Scott Kelly remains with the longest one-time astronaut in outer space of 340 days.
