“The funeral of Galina Borisovna has just ended. She is buried next to her close colleague and friend Mark Anatolyevich Zakharov, ”the press service said.
Earlier it was reported that farewell to Volchek at the Sovremennik Theater was visited, in particular, by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matvienko, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.
The artistic director of the Alexandrinsky Theater Valery Fokin, in an interview with Channel Five, described the death of Volchek as a personal loss.
Galina Volchek died on December 26 at the 87th year of her life.
