Brigadier Mohammed Suhail Al Rashdi, Director of the Criminal Security Sector at Abu Dhabi Police confirmed the Abu Dhabi Police’s keenness to confront the people who practice such acts and not tolerate them, follow up on suspicious activities, prosecute them and take legal measures against them.
And he warned members of society not to be trapped by those who claim to solve problems, by means of imagining others that they are able to do so, by using magic and sorcery.
He called for the necessity of cooperating with the police to report any people practicing "witchcraft and sorcery" to protect society from the dangers of this group, which is deceiving the victims in order to gain money illegally.
He pointed out the importance of enhancing awareness among individuals not to deal permanently with the practitioners of these methods that mislead members of society.
Brigadier Omran Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Director of the Criminal Investigation and Investigations Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, explained that the events of the case are due to the receipt of information from secret sources stating that a person has practiced charlatans, witchcraft and sorcery, taking his apartment in a building in Abu Dhabi as a place to meet his clients with prior appointments, and communicate with them through the means of communication Social, claiming his ability to recover and solve their psychological and family problems in exchange for a sum of money.
He pointed to the formation of a research and investigation team to catch the sorcerer, whereby the men of investigation had developed a well-planned plan to arrest him in the act of practicing sorcery and quack, using tricks and fake rituals.
