Awa Odori's "Zomeki" with rice cake Tokushima December 27 15:31

Prior to the New Year, an event was held in Tokushima City to make rice cakes to accompany the Awaodori-specific "Zomeki" music.

This event is held every year at the end of the year by Awaodori Kaikan located at the foot of Bizan, the symbol of Tokushima City.

Around 10 members of the local Awaodori group play Azodori's unique music "Zomeki" on the shamisen, "Kane", and taiko drums. I shook it down and talked to me with a mochi.

The children at the nursery school in the city also participated in the mochi, and while learning from adults, they made mochi and danced to the rhythm.

The 30 kilos of mochi that came up with the volunteers were to be cut into individual pieces of 3 to 5 centimeters, rolled, rounded, bagged and distributed to participants.

An 82-year-old man who participated in mochitsuki said, "If you listen to the rhythm of Awaodori, your body will start moving naturally.
