The Christmas message of King Felipe VI recorded an average audience of 7,537,000 viewers and a 65.1% share of the screen, in the set of 25 channels that delivered the speech .

In 2018 the audience was 7.9 million and 70.6% in the accumulated of the 30 chains, so this year there is a decrease of 5.5 points of screen share and 407,000 viewers, according to data from Kantar Media offered by Windward Communication.

The first Christmas address of Felipe VI, delivered in 2014, was the one that achieved the greatest follow-up with an average audience of 8,239,000 and a 73.4 screen share. On the other hand, the message of the King pronounced in 2016 was the least seen with 5,822,000 viewers with a screen share of 57.6%.

Total television consumption in the time slot of the Christmas message last Tuesday was 11.6 million, representing an increase of 410,000 viewers in relation to 2018.

The data indicate that the segments where the Christmas message of the King had the highest performance are between women and those over 25 years . By autonomous communities, Murcia (84.8% screen share) ; Castilla La Mancha (79.4%); Community of Madrid (73.7%) and Asturias (72.8%) are the ones that have registered the greatest follow-up. In contrast, Catalonia with a 36.8% share of the screen and the Basque Country with 43% were the communities where the message was least seen .
