Every year, the mochi-tsuki was taken up by a group of farmers in the prefecture to give large mirror mochi to Atsuta Jingu in Nagoya, and this was held at the Kaifu East Agricultural Cooperative in Tsushima.
On the 26th, about 200 farmers gathered, steamed a total of 300 kilograms of glutinous rice, put them in a mortar, and followed up as a pair.
After cooling the mochi that came up, about 10 men formed large mirror mochi about 130 cm in diameter on a wooden table.
Yoshihiro Ohashi, the union manager of JA Kaifu East, said, "We were able to make Ogami mochi together with everyone. The harvest was about the same as normal, but we hope that everyone will be healthy and productive again next year. I do. "
This large mirror rice cake will be dedicated to Atsuta Jingu Shrine on the 30th of this month.
