A "heavy" gift at the holy night A python in the parking lot Matsuyama December 26, 11:09

It is a heavy Christmas present. On January 24, a python was found at a residential parking lot in Matsuyama City, about 1 meter long, and police are looking for an owner.

At 8:00 pm on the 24th, a man from Beppu-cho, Matsuyama-shi visited the Matsuyama-Nishi Police Station and reported that there was a snake in the parking lot near his home.

Snakes are about one meter long and weigh about 1.2 kilograms, and most of their bodies are white except for some.

Police contacted the prefecture's Biodiversity Center and confirmed it was a type of python, a "ball python."

According to a pet shop specializing in reptiles in Iyo City, "Python pythons" are domestically bred snakes that are venomous in Japan and have no poison, and are unlikely to bite with a gentle character.

Matsuyama West Police Station is looking for an owner because snakes are kept at a pet shop in Matsuyama city.
