Christmas gift for lemurs Ibaraki Hitachi December 21, 15:59

Before Christmas, visitors to the zoo in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, presented a special lease to the lemurs with apples and other decorations.

Kamine Zoo in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture, makes gifts with visitors every Christmas and holds an event to give to animals.

On the 21st, a gift was made for a ring-tailed lemur that lives in Madagascar, Africa, and about 20 families attended.

The lemurs were moved to another location, and in the vacated exhibition space, participants decorated hearts and diamond-shaped hollow apples and carrots on wooden wreaths of about 30 cm in diameter.

After this, the 17 lemurs who returned to the exhibition space immediately approached Reese and began to eat well.

A 30-year-old man who had joined a 2-year-old daughter from Hitachi had said, "I was pretty. It was a good memory for Christmas with my daughter."

Mr. Yuya Someya, a zoo keeper at Hitachi City Kamine, said, "I'm glad that children and animals are happy. I hope that this event will lead to a deeper interest in animals."

The event will also take place on the 22nd, this time giving raccoons a present.
