Saitama Prefecture, December 18th, 16:46, the first in Japan if it is enacted to submit a draft ordinance for caregiver support

An ordinance draft that includes making a comprehensive support plan to support the caregivers of family members and others in the whole society is now expected to be submitted to the Saitama Prefectural Assembly by a member of the Diet. According to the country, it is the first time in the country that the ordinance to support caregivers is established.

Around 70% of the people who are caring for at home from the national survey on the support of caregivers answered that they have troubles and stress, and there were a number of caregivers who left work because of nursing care. It has become an issue.

Saitama Prefecture is expected to be aging at the fastest pace in the country, and the LDP members of the prefectural assembly examined the establishment of the ordinance to promote support for caregivers.

According to this, the basic philosophy is to position people who provide free care for family members and familiar people as “carers” and to support the entire society in cooperation with prefectures and related organizations.

On top of that,
▽ Prefectures formulate "promotion plans" for support and determine specific measures. ▽ Nurture human resources to support carers.

In addition, as a “young carer” for those under 18 years of age who take care of their care, we included necessary support to ensure appropriate educational opportunities.

The Liberal Democratic Party Legislature is expected to be approved if it is submitted because it occupies a majority in the prefectural assembly, with the policy of submitting bylaws proposals to the regular prefectural assembly in February next year after soliciting opinions from the citizens of the prefecture.

Mr. Hidetoshi Kira, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of the Saitama Parliament, said, “I want to promote an approach that allows people who are worried about family care as a result of the establishment of the ordinance to be close to the whole society.”

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, this is the first time in the country that the ordinance to support caregivers is established.
