The Palestinian Business Council announced the concert of the Palestinian Lovers Band during a press meeting held yesterday at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Dubai, and the program of the concert was announced during which the band will present a group of its old and modern songs, in addition to the performance group that will be presented on the stage by a group of Dances and Dabkeh on the impact of national and revolutionary songs.

Speaking during the meeting, the lead singer of the band Hussein Al-Mundhir, who expressed his happiness for hosting the band in the Emirates, especially that it came back and gathered again, after it had been dispersed for many years, pointing out that the organization of the ceremony is a source of great happiness for him, especially since the band carries a history Heritage heritage linked to the Palestinian cause.

One of the band's founders, Khaled Habash, told «Emirates Today»: «From 2009 until 2012 the band returned to work after the interruption for a while, and then after that due to a large number of them taking refuge in Europe, the band dispersed again, and the band was gathered from around the world to prepare for the party There are 29 people from Europe, six from Dubai, and six from Syria and Lebanon. ” He stressed that the band brings together two generations, the generation of founders who accompanied the band from the beginnings, along with the new generation that completes the march of the old generation that founded the band, explaining that the group was founded by seven brothers along with a few other individuals. He pointed out that they had taken it upon themselves from the beginning to document all stages of the struggle of the Palestinian people, beginning with the Qassam revolution and the first and second uprisings and other political stations, but for the group the first concern remains Palestine.

A meeting on love

On hosting the band, he spoke to «Emirates Today», Secretary of the Palestinian Business Council in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Omar Obaid, and said: “The absence of the band for many years on the stage made us think about reviving the authentic Palestinian heritage through them, especially since many meet On the love of this group, because it exceeded all political parties and sings only for Palestine, just as all Arabs love Palestine ». He pointed out that grouping the band at the Opera House in Dubai and during the year of tolerance in the Emirates, and around the day of the martyr and the feast of the Emirati Union, carries many indications that are related to the band's history, noting that they are in the Palestinian Labor Council keen to provide some comprehensive artistic and cultural works for all groups Age and for all people.

Years of expatriation

The composer talked about the band's work and the artistic supervisor, Mohamed Habash, pointing out that the band is very old, and after years of diaspora, alienation and leaving Syria, where the band was founded, the band was dispersed, and the work has been since the last three years how the band is reunited, explaining that there are many members The band is from the countries of the world, namely Finland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Syria and Lebanon. He stressed that, as a technical supervisor at work, he supervises the old songs, and has also worked on renovating some of them, along with new songs that will be presented for the first time in the opera house. As for the dancing group that will accompany the singing group, Mohamed pointed out that most of them are in Sweden, and they are from the younger generation in the band.

Lover Squad

She founded the Lover's Songs Ensemble in Syria in 1977, and presented a collection of songs for the most famous Palestinian poets, including Mahmoud Darwish, Ahmed Dahbour, Samih Al-Qasim, Tawfiq Ziyad, in addition to Al-Sadiq Abu Salah Al-Husseini, and others. The band was the free voice of Palestine, which proved that the Palestinian revolution was not only a rebellious gun, but a cultural dimension that constituted a historical exception to the identity of a refugee people. The band's songs told the story of a people fighting for freedom and independence, just as they sang in Arab and communist capitals, and they performed lyric tours in many foreign countries including Greece, the United States of America, Canada, Britain, and others. This group won an award at the French Festival of Nantes for Folk Art and other prizes. The group worked until 1993, after producing many songs, then returned to work in 2009, and then dispersed until it met again now.
