She refused to sign a NATO document on the protection of the Baltic countries and Poland in the event of Russian aggression. I linked this issue with the fact that the alliance does not support the fight against Kurdish formations (they are considered terrorist in Turkey).

The situation, in fact, is strange: in the region there are already a lot of contradictions, and they are stimulated by the same allies in the bloc - there is no support from them, but at the same time they are calling for solidarity with the complexes and mental problems of the Baltic states and Poland. That is, they unambiguously offer: forget your national interests and join the general geopolitical game, the scenario of which is kept secret, like the rules, and also do not completely utter the prepared role, because there will be a surprise ...
It is clear that Turkey is playing its game of raising its status, to take its interests into account. They report that all the support power of the “brotherhood of the ring” was demonstrated during the coup attempt in 2016. And even now, their interests are little considered. The same alliance does not support Turkey either in the Kurdish issue or in the operation "Source of Peace" in northern Syria. Therefore, the question of trust and selfless love is not worth it - just pragmatics and a bit of light trolling.
It is understandable that Turkey is trying to protect and defend primarily its national interests. After all, we remember how the issue of national sovereignty in the same Western world is being solved in a peculiar way. If the player is not the main one, then he is secondary and should be sent to a distant closet in the name of "higher" values, which are followed by the easily readable interests of global players.
Turkey gets out of this round dance and spoils the whole game. And this peculiarity of her annoys someone, and someone, on the contrary, carries away. If Macron only talks about the awakening and sovereignty of Europe against the backdrop of the dominant dictatorship of US interests, Turkey is defending its own, maneuvering between the rocks of the yoke of world hegemon.
