Sukiabashi Jiro, a Japanese restaurant, has gained worldwide fame, making it one of the best sushi restaurants around the world, favored by many celebrities, public figures, artists and ball players over other restaurants.

One of the famous establishments that act as a "guide" to the world's largest restaurants, has announced the stripping of the three-star Sukiabashi Jiro restaurant, according to the Guardian.

The report says the decision was made not because of the bad food served in the restaurant, or because of its taste or other reasons such as hygiene or safety, but for another reason, the restaurant is no longer open to the public.

The restaurant made the decision not to accept any reservations from private individuals, which makes the restaurant outside the scope of the "restaurant guide", and therefore went out of this guide, and stripped of its stars.

The Michelin Guide spokeswoman said the restaurants in our guide should be a destination for everyone, not just a certain category.

Among the names that visited the restaurant were former US President Barack Obama, who ate sushi with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Obama said at the time that "it is the best taste I have ever tasted."

The restaurant receives only 10 visitors at a time and the sushi dish costs 40,000 yen (£ 285).
