Doug Lubahn , who was a studio bassist for The Doors, has died at age 71, as confirmed through his own official Facebook page.
"Words could never express pain," remarks his wife, Pat Devanny , in the brief statement collected by Europa Press, adding, without giving more details about his death: "I will miss laughter more than anything."
The Doors never had a full-time official bassist , but Lubahn played on three of his most acclaimed albums: 'Strange days',' Waiting for the sun 'and The soft parade'.
Faced with the fatal news, the official profile of The Doors on Twitter has also shared some lines of "condolences for the family, friends and fans of Doug Lubahn".
"Doug made indelible contributions to rock n 'roll and especially The Doors. He played bass on' Stage Days', 'Waiting for the Sun' and 'The Soft Parade'. Rest in peace," concludes the text.
