LONDON (Reuters) - Garlic intake can be a key to improving bowel health and fighting harmful bacteria that cause many diseases such as cancers, dementia, obesity and mental illnesses because it contains natural fibers that produce beneficial bacteria in the stomach, according to a study by the Mirror website.

Bacteria play a major role in gonadal functions such as regulating metabolism and boosting the immune system.

Garlic and dandelion topped the list of high-fiber foods, and leek, onions, artichokes, asparagus, wheat, oats and bananas contained large amounts.
