Swedish scientists at the University of Malmö are developing a medical adhesive that can detect the presence of cancer cells in moles and skin infections, if any.

The new tool will analyze moles and diagnose cancer within minutes by placing the labels on the area to be examined and looking for molecules from tumors.

Scientists have to prove that the patch can capture molecules caused by tumors, and say the final results will take about two years, until 2021.

Researchers are working on a prototype adhesion, pointing to the need to find a way to analyze molecules.

Skin cancer is one of the most common types of tumors, mainly due to excessive exposure to ultraviolet light.
