On November 8, 1929, the theater and film actor, people's artist of the USSR Oleg Borisov was born. He played in the best theaters of the Union, collaborated with eminent theater directors Tovstonogov and Efremov, but became famous primarily as a film actor. His starring role was The Naked Tailed from the comedy “For Two Hares,” and thanks to the image in the film “The Only Witness,” Borisov became the first and last winner of the Venice Film Festival prize for best male role from the USSR. However, despite a solid filmography (about 70 paintings) and an extensive track record in the theater, Oleg Borisov felt a lack of major roles. In the last years of his life, the artist was seriously ill and died in April 1994 at the age of 64.
