While qualifying for the e-Ligue1 starts this week, beIN Sports is moving into the French audiovisual scene as the leader of the discipline. Very involved in the promotion of e-sport, she offers two weekly meetings on the subject.

INTERVIEW

You may not know it, but since Monday, the qualifications for the e-League 1, not to be confused, of course, with the Ligue 1 football, have started. This is e-sport, that is to say a football competition, but on a computer or a console and not on a field. The competition has an official broadcaster in France, beIN Sports, which offers two weekly programs devoted to the discipline. And according to a survey Médiamétrie, the Qatari channel is today n ° 1 on e-sport. "As a broadcaster, what is important is to bring back this audience (players) from time to time on TV," explains Florent Houzot.

BEIN Sports Director of Programs wondered how to conquer these new viewers. "We are interested in broadcast television programs, with the know-how and credibility of beIN Sports," decrypts Florent Houzot, who wishes to capitalize on this performance.

For this, he went looking for the "talents" of e-sport, to "reach the public" and bring him on the channel. BeIN Sports was surrounded by Bruce Grannec, four times world champion on Fifa and Pes , and youtuber Mahmoud Gassama. "Because you have references as animators, you will bring to the public something different," explains Florent Houzot. "On weekends, it will consume perhaps more its content on its usual platforms, but every Monday night, on beIN Sport, it will have additional content with analysis, decryption, guests and reports" he concludes.
