In "L'Equipée sauvage" on Europe 1, the host gave the birth secrets of the mythical scientific program of France Télévisions.

INTERVIEW

For 21 years, between 1993 and 2014, C'est pas sorcier has punctuated the afternoons of France 3. The famous science popularization magazine, led by Frédéric Courant (Fred), Sabine Quindou (Sabine) and Jamy Gourmaud (Jamy) , was one of the historical programs of France Televisions. Tuesday, in L'Equipée sauvage , at the microphone of Matthieu Noël, on Europe 1, the former animator Jamy Gourmaud tells the creation of the program.

"We started to imagine an ideal show"

It's not rocket science was created on a corner of the table, literally. "With Fred, we were working on a classic scientific show with plateaus and reports," says Jamy Gourmaud. As the reflections, the form of the program has evolved. "We started to imagine an ideal show, we did it often at night, in restaurants," recalls the journalist. "I even kept the paper tablecloth on which we wrote the architecture of the concept," he says.

"Three words that expressed exactly what we wanted to do"

As for the name of the program, it is to Frédéric Courant that we owe it. "It was three words that expressed exactly what we wanted to do," said Jamy Gourmaud. And at the time of selling the project It's not rocket science , the duo did not imagine presenting it. But finally, the director of programs, Claude Couderc, decided otherwise: "He told us: 'you talk about it too well, it is you who will present the show'", remembers the journalist.
