At the Halloween on the 31st, we estimated the number of people in and around the scrambled intersection in front of Shibuya Station in Tokyo based on the location information of the mobile phone. I understood that it seems.
Based on the population data estimated based on the location information of mobile phones, we extracted how many people gathered in front of Shibuya Station in Tokyo on Halloween on the 31st.
Each graph shows the estimated number of people who were in an area of 100 meters square. Looking at the four areas in front of Shibuya Station, the most people gathered at 7pm and 8pm. I understood that.
At peak times, more than 30,000 people were in these areas.
Looking at only one area including the scrambled intersection, we found that nearly twice as many people were packed as compared to the same time zone on October 24 one week ago.
Even though the Halloween is a weekday, it can be seen from the data that many people gathered as usual.
