The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS), under the Ministry of Health, has reported the withdrawal of all lots of two cosmetic products from Primark , the company responsible for them and that has voluntarily withdrawn them, for being contaminated microbiologically.
These are 'PS Prep & Perfect Watermelon Primer Water' and 'PS Prep & Perfect Primer Water Charcoal', which, as Primark has reported, if used on skins with lesions of any kind or come into contact with the eyes they can cause irritation or an infection, especially in people with a weakened immune system.
This decision has been taken after detecting in the analysis of several lots the presence of aerobic mesophilic microorganisms s in a limit higher than allowed. Therefore, AEMPS has recommended that consumers have some unit of the products affected, do not use it and go to a Primark establishment for return, where they will refund the money in full.
For the recovery of the units acquired by consumers, in addition to informing with a notice of withdrawal in the centers, the company has included a notice on its website and has detailed to the health authorities of the autonomous communities the measures taken. The products have been for sale in Spanish stores from February 11, 2019 to August 30, 2019.
