The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has advised smokers to stay away from the use of e-cigarettes and their products "temporarily" until investigations are underway into their deaths over the past weeks.

The agency said in a recent report that the preliminary results of the ongoing tests on smokers infected, revealed a great similarity of the type of infections among them, suggesting that serious diseases may be related to the products of e-cigarettes.

The agency warned smokers of these cigarettes on the need to pay attention to health symptoms that may affect them, such as cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and fever, and that they should get immediate medical attention when they feel any of them.

"We are committed to knowing the causes of the disease," said Robert Redfield, director of the agency.

The number of deaths in the United States caused by the use of e-cigarettes has risen to at least three, and a total of 450 cases have been reported to health authorities to date, possibly in more than 30 states. .

Symptoms ranged from shortness of breath to respiratory crises and chest pain to stomach and intestinal pain accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea.
