The story of the first Emirati aviation engineer, Fatima Al Enezi, began with this world from childhood, dreaming of entering the world of aviation, until she graduated in high school and decided to specialize in engineering.

Fatima continued her studies with passion and excellence to reach the first Emirates platform. She is honored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as the first Emirati aviation engineer.

After years of aircraft maintenance and majoring in giant engines, she has now moved to the Licensing Department, where she works as an Engineer Licensing Inspector, but still nostalgic for aircraft maintenance centers and remembers her diary, even after she left.

"Since my childhood, I have dreamed of studying any major in aviation," Fatima said in an interview with Emirates Today. "After completing my high school, I opened the field of engineering, and I never imagined I'd be so attached to aviation engineering."

She added: «After I started studying I found that aviation engineering is a sea that can not be saturated from one, I started studying at the Emirates College of Engineering Training, and the program for five years, and after graduation I entered maintenance centers, and then applied for a license in 2007, and it took me about Two years of oral and written exams to obtain the license, as the challenge to obtain it was great, and the joy of obtaining it exceeded the joy of graduation ».

After receiving the license, Fatima is randomly selected to specialize in aircraft. She was chosen after receiving the license to specialize in a Boeing 777 aircraft. This was the first aircraft she was trained in and took three months of exams. This specialty was added to the license.

The UAE engineer pointed out that she was the first girl to enter the maintenance center, where she graduated from an apprentice to a mechanic and then an engineer, pointing out that the profession attracted her and made her withdraw from social life unintentionally, as she became immersed in the world of aviation, especially as long periods of work has Up to 12 hours.

Fatima Al-Enezi not only knew the secrets of Boeing 777, she specialized in another, for two and a half months, and worked in the heavy maintenance center, where the work is on the regular maintenance of the aircraft according to flight hours, and the complete disintegration of the aircraft, and examine each piece in it to see how fit, If there are breakdowns and how it will deal with emergencies.

Maintenance shall be in accordance with manuals issued by the aircraft manufacturer and certified by the General Aviation Authority, and each engineer shall be responsible for a particular part. She admitted that her current job gave her more time, because engineering and maintenance required a lot of time, and it took her family time. She noted that in her new field she works very hard, so as not to be misunderstood, without making the engineer alienate from the profession.
