The Egyptian ambassador to Morocco, Ashraf Ibrahim, revealed on Saturday the cause of the death of the Egyptian scientist, Abu Bakr Abdel Moneim Ramadan, in the city of Marrakech, pointing out that the Egyptian embassy closely followed the situation from the first moment.

Ambassador Ibrahim Ibrahim said that the public prosecutor in Marrakech conducted an autopsy of the body of the Egyptian scientist and a full-time professor at the Department of Sites and Environment of the Radiation Control Division of the Atomic Energy Authority.

Ibrahim added in a newspaper statement that the Egyptian embassy in Morocco has followed closely the state of the Egyptian scientist since his death last Thursday, after suffering an emergency health exhibitor in his hotel room in the region of Agdal in Marrakech.

He explained that the Egyptian scientist had been in Marrakech to participate in a workshop organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency on marine pollution since the beginning of this month, pointing out that he felt very exhausted during the meetings and asked to go to his room, which prompted him to inform the hotel, which tried hard to transfer to the hospital, but he He died later.

On the other hand, the Minister of State for Migration and Egyptian Affairs Abroad, Nabila Makram, continued with the Egyptian Ambassador to Morocco, to follow up the procedures for the transfer of the body of the deceased to Egypt.

The Minister of Immigration in press statements that coordination with the Moroccan authorities and the International Atomic Energy Agency to finalize administrative procedures and return the body of the deceased to Egypt.
