Haneda Airport new route Flight inspection in the city center before operation August 30th 11:31

From the spring of next year, before the start of the new flight route at Haneda Airport, flight inspection to confirm the safety by flying an inspection plane over the city center started on the 30th.

The country will set up a new flight route for the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics from March 29 next year to increase the number of international flights at Haneda Airport from approximately 60,000 times to 99,000 times a year. I have decided.

Before this, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism started a flight inspection from 6:20 am to confirm the safety by flying a small jet aircraft with a total length of about 16 meters.

The 30-day inspection will be conducted for about an hour and a half before 8:00 am, and radio waves of airplanes flying in and around the new route over the city center will be received at ground facilities to check if the aircraft's position is correctly grasped. I was checking.

In the vicinity of Oimachi Station in Shinagawa Ward, which is flying at a lower altitude on the new route, there were also people who were surprised by the proximity of the aircraft and looked up at the sky when the plane passed about 300 meters high.

A woman in her fifties who lived nearby said, “I really wonder what the aircraft will look like and how the noise will look when the passenger plane passes over the sky.”

The flight inspection that started on the 30th will be conducted almost every day until the end of December, mainly from 6am to 8am.
