The opening of the monument was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the founding of the city.
It is specified that the Pushkin monument, which was previously installed on this site in 1959, was dismantled in August 2019 due to an emergency condition.
“Our dreams, ideas have come true thanks to caring people. In principle, this monument can be fully called a national monument, because there is not a penny of budgetary funds, ”said Vladimir Getov, head of the administration of the Budyonnovsky district of the city.
