A large-scale disaster drill that assumed an earthquake occurred in Oizumi-cho, Gunma Prefecture, where many foreigners live, and local foreigners also participated to confirm the preparation for disasters.

Oizumi-cho, Gunma Prefecture is home to many foreigners such as Brazilians and Nepalese, and the proportion of foreigners in the total population is 18.6% as of the end of July.

On the 25th, the training was conducted on the assumption that the house was destroyed by an earthquake with a seismic intensity of 6 at the Tonegawa riverbed, and about 1,000 people including local foreigners participated.

Among them, Nepalese residents took the town's publicity car to the local Nepalese who lived in the town, calling attention in their native language, and Brazilian school teachers conducted fire extinguishing drills using fire extinguishers.

Also, foreign technical intern trainees from Vietnam and the Philippines participated and cooked together with participants from other countries. Brazilian Amano Klausia (45) said, “I think it is important for foreigners living in Japan to be well prepared through such training.
