Miyagi Prefecture has conducted a large-scale interview survey of 1,200 people and recorded live voices in video and audio so that the experiences of the staff who have been involved in the restoration and reconstruction of the Great East Japan Earthquake can be passed on to future generations. I decided to put it together in a report.

This initiative conveys in the future not only the records and manuals, but also the voices of experienced people, in what circumstances Miyagi Prefecture employees faced the Great East Japan Earthquake and how they responded. I started to.

On the 22nd, 11 people, including those from the Crisis Management Division at the time, gathered and talked about their experiences for about 3 hours under the theme of “Securing daily necessities”.

The participating staff members were constantly asked for supplies from various locations, the confusion of requests for lifesaving in the communication of support supplies, and the difficulty of securing the fuel to operate the facility. There was also a scene where I talked and remembered the time and choked my voice.

In Miyagi Prefecture, the staff who joined the agency after the earthquake exceeded 30% of the total, and the issue is how to pass on the experience.

The prefecture will listen to a total of 1200 staff over 80 themes such as "Restoring public facilities" and "Waste disposal" until the next year, and use the video and audio for staff training, etc. It means that the contents are put together in a report.
