Major General Al Zafin said that the initiative to settle traffic violations started in the third quarter of the initiative, which lasts for three months and provides discounts of up to 75% of the percentage of violations if the driver did not commit any traffic violations during the period.

Colonel Juma Salem bin Suwaidan said the launch of the Traffic Violations Settlement Initiative resulted in a decrease in the percentage of traffic reports, injuries and deaths during the period from February 1 to August 1, compared with the same period last year. 14% for the same period last year and recorded a decrease in the percentage of violations by 2% for the same period.

The "Traffic Violations Settlement" initiative, which was launched in conjunction with the beginning of the year of tolerance, aims to reduce accidents and mortality index.
