Three people aboard a small plane that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off a Bahamas yesterday survived a unique event.

The single-engine plane with a pilot and two passengers crashed about 20 miles east of Bimini, the island's largest island, on a flight from Great Harbor Cay Airport to Miami Executive Airport, according to ABC News.
Survivors managed to blow up a rubber emergency boat and alert the coast guard before a group of fishermen rushed to their rescue.
"We were about 25 miles from Katie Kay, on our way to Great Harbor, when we came across a lifeboat carrying three men," said Tim Hampson, a fisherman.
"No one was hurt, they were all in shock," he said, adding that among the survivors was an 80-year-old man.
