"Someone I did not know in my bed"

At the Vieilles Charrues, you must first find accommodation. The hotel - there is only one in the city - concerns a tiny minority of festival goers. The others go to the festival campsite ... Or to the locals, some of whom rent a piece of garden during the festivities. "Everyone comes to settle these little tents there on the lawn," says David, Carhais. "It wakes up quietly, we do the debriefing of the day before ..."

"As long as the house is good, as we say by us, people come back," smiled the owner, in front of Thibaut and Claire, already "tenants" of his garden last year. "It's the good franquette, there can be the after in the garden, it can continue until the early morning," recalls the young woman. His friend refers to him as "little surprises". "For example, people we did not expect in our tent ... I thought I would go to sleep quietly and in fact it's someone I did not know who was in my bed!"

Tartiflette for some, stuffed zucchini for others

Once lodged, you have to eat. At Les Vieilles Charrues, there are sausage patties, of course. But also more surprising dishes, like ... tartiflette. "At first, I thought of a hoax," admits Adrien, who has been selling this specialty at the festival for five years. "And in fact when I realize the world that comes to the booth the days of big rush, I tell myself that they have found the idea."

Away from the potato that holds the body, the artists who produce tastings, they, dishes prepared by starred chefs. "I ate very well," confirms Europe 1 singer Camellia Jordana. "There were delicious crawfish, with boiled carrots, homemade hummus (...) And then zucchini stuffed with soy protein, my faith, amazing." Very good. "
