The Ramadan Council in Al Hamriya, a heritage village on the banks of Khor Al Hamriyah, hosted a heritage lecture in the holy month of Ramadan entitled "Heritage Ammunition in the United Arab Emirates" organized by Al Hamriyah Municipality in cooperation with Sharjah Heritage Institute.

The lecture presented by the President of the Institute, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, dealt with a number of topics and axes that reinforced the importance of preserving and reviving the heritage, as well as connecting the generations with traditional characters and customs of the past. He pointed out the role of the Institute and its efforts in a number of tracks, namely, the introduction of specialized academic diplomas in all fields of heritage, and the staff of the Institute, 540 employees and employees, distributed in Four branches of the Institute, working continuously for the preservation of heritage in all its modern forms, and the definition of the community, in addition to the presentation, documentation and transfer to other countries.

He explained the heritage of the UAE and its material and moral ammunition, which dates back thousands of years, is associated with many previous civilizations, is characterized by diversity, and that It is mentioned in the books of travelers and former historians.

He noted the publications presented by the Institute to document the heritage of the UAE, and the various munitions of the life of the past, the life of the sea, land and mountain, as well as the definition of the history of the UAE and the prevailing and legacy.

The Muslim said he was looking forward to setting up an Emirati character center in the Hamriya region to form an icon in preserving and spreading the character of the past, which was practiced by men and women.

For his part, Al Hamriyah Mayor Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi praised the continuous cooperation with the Sharjah Heritage Institute, pointing out that the Ramadan Council always welcomes the provision of all that will raise the community and interest in all subjects, especially heritage, and linking the community with its customs, traditions and character in a scientific way, To understand the past in all its corners and to maintain the different habits and transfer to generations to hold on to their national identity, and to know their past.
