Lamar Odom: Ex-NBA star talks about his sex addiction

The former US basketball star Lamar Odom gives an intimate praise in his autobiography: The 39-year-old, who was married to television starlet Khloé Kardashian for several years, addresses the topic of sex addiction among other things.

"As long as I can remember, I'm obsessed with sex," writes Odom in the book "Darkness to Light," from which the People magazine cited. He had slept with over 2000 women, such as prostitutes and striptease dancers.

The ex-athlete also writes that he has repeatedly cheated on Kardashian, 34, during their marriage. "I was shocked and embarrassed, I would have liked to reverse it, but you can not," he said in a "People" interview. He had a problem.

Odom and Kim Kardashian's sister had married in 2009, just a month after their first meeting. He became an integral part of the reality TV madness of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and the offshoot "Khloé & Lamar".

The basketball player was almost dead of an overdose. This had roused him, said Odom.
