A Chinese woman swallowed her string after a family frenzy and swallowed it in front of the audience, the Mirror newspaper reported.
Tsui Zun was taken from her neck in a fit of anger over a family quarrel and then swallowed in a reaction at her home in Binzhou City, Shandong Province.
Zun was taken to the hospital, and x-ray images showed that the 40-centimeter gold chain was in her stomach.
The surgery was performed on the woman, where doctors removed the chain from her abdomen and made sure that the collar did not cause any abnormalities in the lining of the stomach, intestines or esophagus.
