A sensational search for a presumed beer thief in Britain apparently ended successfully. In the headlines, the case came less because of the crime, but much more because of the great similarity of the suspect with the well-known from the television series "Friends" actor David float.

After searching for a man who "resembles a well-known actor," a suspect was found, the police wrote on Twitter. A 36-year-old was arrested in Southall. "Thanks for the support, especially to David Schwimmer!", It said.

Blackpool police asked for help in the search for a man who stole a pallet of beer in a shop last month. She posted images from a surveillance camera - and was flooded with clues from Twitter users pointing out the resemblance to the "Friends" star.

Officers, I swear it was not me.
As you can see, I was in New York.
To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation. # Itwasntme pic.twitter.com/EDFF9dZoYR
