RTA Railways announced that from April 19, passengers of the Dubai Metro will be able to take a metro between the DMCC Metro Stations (Terminal 37) and Ibn Battuta (Station 39) without the need for alternative buses.
The Authority has completely closed the railway line of the Red Line from the DMCC Metro Station to Ibn Battuta Station on 5 January 2018 as part of the construction work for the 2020 project to establish a new terminal and connect it to the current station of the Red Line. Nakheel Harper & Tower and its multi-storey parking lot are fully closed and the station will remain closed until further notice.
Mohammed Yousef Al-Muzarab, Director of Railroad Operations at the Roads and Transport Authority's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), stressed that all public transport services offered to the public from all segments of society are smooth and non-stop throughout the week.
"We have provided free alternative bus service between DMCC and Ibn Battuta Metro Stations throughout this period to ensure smooth mobility of passengers between these two stations and their daily commute will not be affected during the construction of Nakheel Harbor and Tower between the two stations, In line with the TRA's vision of safe and easy transport for all.
