The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation confirmed the safety of UAE nationals in Sri Lanka following the terrorist attacks on a number of churches and hotels in the capital Colombo and other Sri Lankan cities that killed and injured dozens of innocent people.

The State Ambassador in Colombo, Ahmed Al-Mualla, said that all UAE citizens in Sri Lanka are safe. He pointed out that the State Embassy in Colombo is in constant contact with them and follows their situation directly. He stressed the UAE's keenness on the safety of its citizens and following up on their conditions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation also urged all citizens traveling outside the country to register in the service of my presence, which facilitates the process of communication between the missions of the State abroad and the citizens of the State registered in service in crisis and emergency situations with a view to returning them to the State land safely, International cooperation www.mofa.gov.ae or the UAE MoFA smart application or via 80044444.
