Moroccan poet Mehsès Akhirif died on Wednesday with a lethal electric shock caused by a microphone during a seminar at the book fair in the Moroccan city of Tetouan.

He received his doctorate in literature, and published his first monthly collection in 2001 entitled "The Hymn of Departure", and one of his most famous poems is a "personal statement" in his office taming unbridled dreams.

After the tragedy, the Moroccan authorities evacuated the perimeter of the square and opened an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the incident.

He was born in Larache, north of Morocco, in 1979. He holds a doctorate in literature, and has several books that differ from novel to poetry and story. He received several local and Arab awards, most notably the prize of the Union of Moroccan writers for young writers in 2013 for his novel " "And won the third place in the Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity in 2017 with the story of" Dream Snooze ".
